STEERING COMMITTEE

JANINA GLEED
President
In a society where many pressing social, health and environmental challenges require a change in people’s behaviour, the need to understand the context in which decisions are made is key. My motivation for founding the society is to empower students across disciplines to not only connect with each other but also to explore the research and opportunities to help people make health-enhancing, socially sensitive and environmentally friendly choices that have a long-term positive impact.

LEO MICHAEL
Vice-President (Newsletter)
I have always had an interest in behaviour, in particular when it diverges from expectations. The Behavioural Insights Society is the perfect place to explore this interest with other like-minded individuals with the added benefit of perspectives from a wide range of degrees and disciplines.

DR SARA BRU GARCIA
Consultant | Behavioural Psychologist
As a behavioural psychologist, my job revolves around understanding the factors encouraging or acting as barriers to effective behaviour change. I am interested in how academic knowledge and research can be used to inform and solve “real-world” challenges, from driving pro-environmental behaviours to preventing STIs, and I believe that collaboration across disciplines is key to create impactful solutions. I am looking forward to exchanging ideas with the rest of the team.
