HOW IT STARTED
Our society founder, Janina Gleed, co-founder, Yolan Affolter, and consultant, Sara Bru Garcia, came together in April 2021 to bring this society to life.

Having merged her interests in economics and psychology in studying behavioural economics, Janina explored the applied nature of these interests in a corporate setting while on an Industrial Placement. As part of a new and growing Behavioural Science Champions network, Janina developed her vision for bringing together people from different disciplines in a university setting and empowering them to explore behavioural science and its applications.

It became apparent Dr Sara Bru Garcia had similar intentions as a Behavioural Psychologist and Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate in Nottingham.
​
Together with Yolan, a MSc Behavioural Economics student, the core team became established. In June 2021 the society became officially affiliated with the University of Nottingham. From there the team has and continues to expand and we can't wait to see how it grows!
